Initial reports from the caller confirmed flames and smoke showing. Units operating at the class quickly responded to the fire, responders on the scene requested a 2nd alarm reporting the building to be fully involved with multiple exposure problems. Over the weekend the Wellsboro Fire Department hosted an Engine Company Operations course

Discussion and practice about water supplies, hand line selection, nozzle design and selection, hose loads and many other aspects were conducted . Engine 1-1 undoubtedly known as “Casper” was purchased April 24th 1973 from the Williamsport Bureau of Fire. Casper would provide fire suppression services for many years before it would retire from the fire service and at the end of its career provided fire truck rides at the annual Laurel Festival and firemen’s carnival. Tonight for our department training session members travelled to the department of emergency services
