Over the weekend the Wellsboro Fire Department hosted an Engine Company Operations course

Throughout the two day class students learned the essential concepts of the engine company. Discussion and practice about water supplies, hand line selection, nozzle design and selection, hose loads and many other aspects were conducted . Wellsboro Fire Department, March 23
Engine 1-1 undoubtedly known as “Casper” was purchased April 24th 1973 from the Williamsport Bureau of Fire. Casper would provide fire suppression services for many years before it would retire from the fire service and at the end of its career provided fire truck rides at the annual Laurel Festival and firemen’s carnival. Casper would be sold at auction in the mid 1990’s and it’s status is uncertain ... (Full Story & Photos)
